A food series by Ashmit Bohora

BohoBites

First-person POV videos from small independent restaurants, filmed on smart glasses so you see the meal the way I saw it. No studio, no script, no host talking at a camera. Started in Dallas–Fort Worth. Now filming in Austin.

Every number here is the live view count on the post, not an estimate.

  1. 560.7K McDonald’s, late night No talking, just the food
  2. 61.8K Buldak ramen at home No talking, just the food
  3. 59.7K Bussin’ Buns, Austin Late-night chicken run
  4. 54.5K Famous Philly Cheese Steak, Euless POV visit
  5. 53.3K The Red Chickz POV visit

  7. 49.4K A pizza spot in Broken Bow, OK POV visit
  8. 41.6K A café in Paris, TX POV visit

The top three are from the no-talking eating format I ran through 2025. Everything I make now is the POV visit below. Filmed so far across Euless, Fort Worth, Austin, Paris TX, and Broken Bow OK.

The format

Every video is one continuous visit. I walk in, order, talk to whoever is behind the counter, and eat. The glasses record what I actually see, and the audio is the real room: the order, the kitchen, my first reaction. Nothing is narrated over the top afterward.

The spots are small and usually independent. Family-run counters, strip-mall kitchens, food trucks, the places you would drive past. Every caption ends with the full street address, so anyone who watches it can actually go.

Boho’s 100 Bites of Austin

The current series. One hundred restaurants around Austin, starting with everything I can walk to from campus, counted up one video at a time.

001 now filming

Spot suggestions are welcome. Most of the list so far came from comments and DMs, not from me.

Working together

If you are a brand or a restaurant and you want a BohoBites video, email me and tell me what you have in mind. I answer everything.

What a collab looks like

  • One POV video from a real visit, filmed the way every other BohoBites video is filmed.
  • Posted to all three platforms: TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Your full name and street address in the caption, so viewers can find you.
  • A filming date agreed before anything is booked, not after.

How I work

  • I say what I actually thought. If the food is not good, I would rather not post than lie about it.
  • No scripts I do not believe and no fake reviews, at any price.
  • If you want a product featured, send the product. I do not buy it myself and wait to be paid back, and I do not take deals where I only get paid per sale.
  • If you are a small local spot, there is a good chance I am just coming to eat. That one is free.

Separately, I build free websites for small local businesses through Webspansion. If you run one of these places and your site is holding you back, that is a different conversation and it also costs nothing.

BohoBites is made by Ashmit Bohora, a Statistics and Data Science student at UT Austin. I film it, edit it, and run the analytics behind it myself.
